The idea for Wisdom of the Century was born from a simple desire: to capture the stories of people who have lived through almost an entire century of history. When my friend Sandra Coiffman first approached me with the idea of interviewing 100 people over the age of 100, I was intrigued but skeptical. I wasn’t sure we could find enough individuals in that age range, so we decided to focus on 90 people who are 90 or older. Little did we know that was the beginning of a journey that would be inspiring in every way.
